WORK HERE

We have a small (but mighty!) team of highly qualified, exceptionally motivated and dedicated people, who enjoy the challenges of bringing back to life this medieval priory and its exciting vineyard. We periodically recruit new members to join us in many of the different functions: in the vineyard, the winery, the tasting room, hospitality and more - both at the property and abroad.

Although the functions vary, the common denominator is that we welcome people who enjoy an entrepreneurial environment, in a cross-cultural and multi-lingual capacity - ideally with a working knowledge of both French and English. We aim to procure a tight-knit and highly professional team, and we put a premium on people being kind-hearted and collaborative.

Because of our remote location, and the intensity of our work, we appreciate people who can handle stress in an even-keeled and tolerant way. We strive to maintain a fully inclusive environment, in keeping with our motto Non Mihi, Non Tibi, Sed Nobis – Not Mine, Not Yours, But Ours – seeking to achieve social harmony alongside environmental sustainability.

Here are some current vacancies, although the list may not be complete. Please contact us for further information.

Harvest

At certain times of the year, especially during the harvest, we recruit temporary help from France and internationally (assuming that candidates are legally permitted to work in Europe). Candidates should be able to commit to a minimum of 4 weeks. Due to our high altitude we typically harvest approximately a month later than most of our neighbors, from around mid-September to the end of October. All our grapes are picked by hand and sorted by hand on a vibrating sorting table. Therefore, although no prior experience is required, we appreciate extremely thorough helpers!

For our vineyard work, applicants need to be hearty, meticulous and happy to be outside in all weather conditions - days can range from being extremely hot to very rainy and chilly!

Internships

Periodically we hire paid interns for seasonal positions, or for the French work/study Alternance. These roles are typically in communications, oenotourism, gardening, or for our sustainability programme.

Hospitality

We also recruit Chefs, Sous-Chefs, Hospitality professionals and Housekeepers for La Verrière.

Needless to say, an appreciation of fine wine is always a bonus!
