PLANÈTE CHÊNE BLEU
Chêne Bleu is the winery at the heart of the La Verrière wine estate, and its secluded but connected location, lends itself to experimentation and ‘bleu-sky’ thinking — a great place for people to get away and think deeply about their purpose. This atmosphere enables the combination of Chêne Bleu and La Verrière to function as a de facto wine lab and a great place for hosting winemakers, wine enthusiasts and holiday-makers - to learn, to share, or simply to relax and reconnect with each other and with Nature. Our ‘Non Mihi, Non Tibi, Sed Nobis’ motto extends to our commitment to working with like-minded protagonists to collaborate to make the wine world a better place. We refer to these combined activities, experiences and initiatives as ‘Planète Chêne Bleu’ — its dedicated website encompasses all of them. This video and soundtrack, inspired by an iconic song and music video (do you recognise it?), are intended to take you on a journey to the center of our Bleuniverse.

It was a labor of love to produce this video on a shoestring budget.
Nicole, Tory and Alex Galle spent many an hour trying to figure out how to portray the exhilarating experience that so many of us have when coming up the winding road to La Verrière, home of Chêne Bleu, whether as team member of our Bleu Team or a visitor - being transported to a parallel universe of breathtaking beauty, pristine purity and extreme exaltation of the environment, where history and harmony converge. Many of us feel that being here and plugging into the deep and lasting truths of this special place brings out the more timeless aspirations of the human spirit.
To that end, we liked the metaphor of traveling to another planet, as in The Little Prince or Star Trek, and being invited to see the world through the eyes of our bees, as through our SustainaBEElity program, which showcases how more bees help make better wine.
We were very fortunate, through Daniel James of Beyond, to be put in touch with the talented Lucian Paraian, who is also an experienced photographer who is also an experienced animator.
To create the soundtrack, we were determined to emphasize the 'Medieval-meets-Modern' ethos of bringing cutting-edge, forward-thinking practices to a very ancient property with a long track record of producing grapes through thick and thin, through different ownership and changing climate. We were inspired by the Bardcore creations of Constantine Bard, who came to the rescue, and we enjoyed paying homage to one of our favorite hits - can you recognize this emblematic track?
We hope you too will enjoy travelling through our Bleuniverse!....
