Filmography featuring cameo appearances by Chêne Bleu
Sometimes, thanks to requests by top set designers, the keen eye can spot Chêne Bleu captured on screen in some of the most esteemed TV series and films. The images are often in the background, partial, fleeting and/or blurry, since small wineries like ours can’t afford to ‘pay for play’ to show their wines, even if they wanted to! Still, our winery will soon have earned its own IMDb page. Please let us know when you spot our wines!
Our reds and whites are typically cast as the ultimate insiders’ wines for discriminating and knowledgeable Wine Conoscenti, and for celebrations. Whereas our rosés are usually used to underscore healthier lifestyle choices by people, who prefer them to generic big brands full of chemicals and additives. Here are some examples, in reverse chronological order:
The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026)
In the popular sequel to box-office darling The Devil Wears Prada, at one point, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is invited to a fancy al-fresco lunch in the glamorous Hamptons villa of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). In a scene in Miranda’s kitchen, eagle-eyed viewers can spot part of a bottle of our Le Rosé on the counter of the kitchen island, when Miranda is confiding in Andy about her hopes and dreams… What better way to accessorize a beautiful summer day than a glass of Chêne Bleu Le Rosé?
White Lotus (2025 | S3 E1)
The series follows the exploits of the guests and staff during a week spent at a fictional luxury global resort hotel chain called "The White Lotus". The third season of this American black comedy drama series takes place in Thailand. In this episode, set at the Thai property, Jaclyn, Kate and Laurie share a bottle of Chêne Bleu’s cuvée Aliot at dinner in their own villa, as they reveal which treatments and procedures each person has had to preserve their age-defying looks, and they raise a glass to their friendships.
And Just Like That…, revival and sequel of Sex in the City (2023 | S2 E9)
In Season 2 of And Just Like That..., Chêne Bleu is featured as a subtle but sophisticated nod to the characters' high-end tastes. While the show frequently highlights Sarah Jessica Parker's own wine brand, Chêne Bleu makes notable cameos, typically in scenes involving high-stakes social gatherings or luxurious dining, such as the dinner party where Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) is talking to Mark Kasabian (Victor Garber) about his big backstory. Sex and the City and its sequel series became an enduring cultural phenomenon.
The Blacklist (2021 | S7 E6, S8 E11)
Chêne Bleu made a subtle background appearance in The Blacklist episode "Les Fleurs du Mal" (S7, E6). The Chêne Bleu bottle can be spotted during a dining scene in this episode.
Succession (2018 | S1 E1)
Chêne Bleu wine appears in the inaugural episode of this popular TV series. Roy Logan gathers his family for a birthday in his fancy upper East Side apartment. As they sit down for lunch, the staff pour our flagship cuvée Abélard 2020 for the guests, just as Roy announces his plans to disinherit them. What else would an evil tycoon serve to his reptilian progeny to make the bitter medicine go down?
Annie (2014 remake)
Chêne Bleu's Abélard and Heloise appeared in their motion picture debut, with Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
In this adaptation of the classic Broadway musical, a spunky kid comes under the wing of a successful businessman, and they change each other's lives. Chêne Bleu is served at the gala in the Guggenheim Museum in NYC where Annie's benefactor is being honored.
Mozart in the Jungle (2014 | S1 E4, E7)
Chêne Bleu appears in Amazon Prime's award-winning 'Mozart in the Jungle', set behind-the-scenes at the New York Symphony, starring Latin hottie Gael Garcia Bernal. In Episode 4, Chêne Bleu's Aliot is served alongside Champagne to wealthy Philharmonic patrons at a fundraising musical show-down in the posh Knickerbocker Club. In Episode 7, Chêne Bleu is the wine of choice at the garden party in the mansion of a Mayflower heiress, then by dawn the lawn is strewn with empty bottles as the golden youth lie around watching the sun rise over the pool.
The Heirs (2013 | S1 E5, E9), also known as The Inheritors
This hugely successful South Korean television series, streaming globally, follows a group of wealthy, privileged high school students as they are about to take over their families' business empires. Its star-studded cast sets about overcoming difficulties every step of the way. Chene Bleu wines and wine boxes appear in multiple scenes in the Kim family’s large private cellar.
