ONCE UPON A TIME…

… in the heart of Provence, way up in the hills above Avignon and the famed vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas, there lay a sleeping beauty, forgotten through the ages, a hidden gem within an overgrown forest in the heart of a protected UNESCO biosphere.  But this wasn’t a fairy tale princess: it was an abandoned medieval priory surrounded by an ancient vineyard, perched like an eagle’s nest on the exposed ridge of Europe's tectonic plate.

Then, one day, a young Frenchman having looked for a vineyard in all the traditional places, climbed the long, winding track nearby, took one look at this hidden gem and fell in love. He vowed to awaken it, harness the forces of its natural beauty and unleash the secrets of its ancient vines. And so our story begins…
