EAT
Having come all the way up the mountain to taste our wine, we hope you can also satisfy your appetite with some Provençal specialties, including our Farm-to-Fork cuisine. Guillaume Delauné, our talented executive chef, has trained in top establishments in France, Michelin-starred kitchens on the Cote d’Azur, and has worked in the US, Japan and Canada. Guillaume unites international techniques with the best locally sourced ingredients, including those from our own organic vegetable garden. There are both casual and eating options, with tasting menus offering a chance to simultaneously savor our sumptuous setting.

Once you have reached our secluded haven, we offer a multitude of experiences to complement your wine tourism in the region. Hiking, biking, and flying are some of the recreational outdoor activities available from our doorstep. There are also fun pastimes and facilities to keep the children entertained. Stay
La Verrière is the 9th Century priory at the heart of the estate. Today it operates as a small eco-luxury retreat focusing on wine hospitality and sustainable practices. Fully renovated, it delivers the highest standards of comfort in an historical architectural setting, surrounded by one of the most glorious natural biospheres in Europe.
We welcome guests who want to rent the whole property for family and friends, or for company retreats, celebrations and weddings in Provence. Wine education
La Verrière is the ideal working vineyard location to completely immerse yourself in wine tasting and wine education. We have created the Extreme Wine courses, designed to accelerate wine knowledge and appreciation, using the most effective and enjoyable methods. Our signature 5-day course covers all the major wine regions, varieties and benchmark world wines. It is suitable for every level of wine knowledge, from complete novices to seasoned collectors.
Specifically constructed to help enthusiasts ‘crack the code’ on fine wine, improving confidence and gaining hands-on exposure to vineyard work and winemaking. Regarded as best-in-category - the Financial Times ‘How to Spend It’ and Condé Nast Traveller have named it ‘Best Wine Course in the World’. In addition to Extreme Wine we have some much shorter wine workshops available, perfect for fitting in before or after lunch at La Verrière, or as a feature in an offsite.

The Chêne Bleu vineyard and winery are located way up in the mountains, past the village of Crestet in the Vaucluse region of Provence, at a property known as La Verrière. We are 10 minutes’ drive from Vaison-la-Romaine, 50 minutes northeast of Avignon and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, at the top of a winding road through the forest.
