Provence d'Exception - February 2010

Delighted to welcome many members of the newly-created Provence d'Exception, the network of top-end  hotels, restaurants  and service providers from our neck of the Provencal woods.  The Cote d'Azur is jam-packed with high-quality venues, but more and more "the right people" are heading to less picked-over regions to "get away from it all".   The small airport in Avignon caters to private jets and helicopters, so they launched a clever initiative to select top resources and highlight them in a glossy brochure (now online on www.provencedexception.com).  We felt privileged to be chosen and find ourselves in the good company of Provence icons such as La Mirande and La Beaumaniere, but I got to discover some exciting and motivated newcomers as well.   We're finding though that under the dynamic leadership of Mme Rozenn Le Goff the initiative is quickly evolving into a real, thriving network...  I'm impressed and hopeful that lots of good will come of it!
