Before retiring in 2021, Bénédicte [Xavier’s sister] and her husband Jean-Louis played a crucial role, alongside Xavier and Nicole, in contributing to the Herculean task of transforming the neglected vineyard, building the winery, creating the wines and more generally setting Chêne Bleu on its exciting trajectory.  We will always be grateful to them for their enormous contribution to so many important aspects of Chêne Bleu’s status today.

We were fortunate that their sons, Hugo and Corentin, both took a deep interest in wine and joined us for several years in the cellar and tasting room respectively.
