FERDINAND

"I was very excited about joining the team at Chêne Bleu as I feel a strong alignment with the estate's agroecological values, and its commitment to producing terroir-driven wines that truly reflect the unique location. The versatility of my role means that I can have one foot in the vineyard and the other in the cellar, allowing me to oversee the entire process—from pruning the vines to the finished bottle."

After working in film archives, and driven by his passion for wine, Ferdinand shifted his career path towards viticulture and oenology.  He trained locally, gaining hands-on experience through apprenticeships in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Vacqueyras.  He then spent two years in Switzerland, discovering a different approach to winemaking amidst dramatic mountain landscapes, before moving back to Provence, not far from the Alpilles region where he grew up.
